Other ways to help
A Bequest - As well as helping reduce your tax burden, providing for Cardiff University in your will is an effective way of providing lasting support for the University. Please contact the Alumni & Development Division for a copy of our Legacy brochure - Email: Donate@cardiff.ac.uk
Give as you Earn(UK Only) - Payroll giving allows for charitable donations to be made from your gross income, before tax has ben deducted. So each £1 you give will only cost you 78p, for higher rate tax payers it is only 60p. In most companies all you need to do is contact your payroll or human resources department and they will give you a payroll giving form to fill in and send to us.
Gifts of shares and securities - Donors who give shares can offset the full value of their gift against their liability for income tax for the tax year in which the gift is made. This is in addition to the exemption from capital gains tax on the disposal the shares.
