How can I update my details with the alumni office?
You can update your details by logging into our website and updating your profile, or you can contact us directly with your updated information.
How can I get a copy of my Transcript or Certificate?
If your original degree certificate has been lost or destroyed, you can purchase a replacement. If your degree or award was gained any date before 30th September 2005, replacement certificates are available from the University of Wales.
For all awards gained on or after 1st October 2005 please email Cardiff University Academic Registry directly by emailing email@example.com. Their telephone number is +44 (0) 29 2087 6211 and their fax number is +44 (0) 29 2087 6982.
How can my employer apply for degree verification?
If a prospective employer needs to verify your qualification from Cardiff University, they will need to email the Student Records team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How can I get an academic reference or an old syllabus?
To receive these you will need to contact your school directly: please refer to your school's website to find the appropriate contact.
How can I get an Alumni Membership Card?
Please email us directly at email@example.com to order your alumni membership card which we can post to you or hold for collection in the office. Make sure you give us your full name and details of your study.
How can I access a library on campus?
Alumni can access libraries for free, but there is a £10 charge for the issue of your library photo card which must be renewed every year. Alumni can borrow up to 6 items, excluding short loan items, and can access some electronic resources using the Walk-in Access to Electronic Resources service. To register you must visit the Senghennydd Library in person, taking your Alumni Membership Card (see above) and one form of photo ID in order to get your card such as a passport or driving licence. How can I access sports facilities?
Alumni can use the full range of Sports and Exercise facilities at Cardiff University at the same rate as University staff members, offering a considerable discount on membership. To take advantage of alumni membership you need to visit the Cardiff University Fitness & Squash Centre on Park Place and show your Alumni Membership Card (see above). You can then use facilities across campus (main locations are the Sports Centre, Talybont, the Fitness & Squash Centre, Park Place, and the Sports Fields, Llanrumney). How can I get in touch with an old friend?
We would be happy to help you get in touch with fellow alumni, however for legal reasons we are unable to disclose personal information including contact details. Please email us with all the details about your friend along with a message, along with your permission to pass on your details, and we will do our best to help. We cannot guarantee responses or send repeated messages.
How can I get a Cardiff University email address?
You can use this form to set up a Cardiff University Alumni "Email for Life" forwarding service. Your email address will be of the format "firstname.lastname@example.org" and it will take up to two working days to become active after registration.
How can I send a job advert for the attention of Cardiff graduates?
Please contact the Alumni Office directly at email@example.com and we will distribute your advertisement as appropriate, whether by email, through our website or via social media channels. We cannot guarantee to post every advertisement and decisions are made at the discretion of the team.

We are open from 8.45am to 5pm (GMT) from Monday to Friday.
