Trevithick Scholarship

Cardiff University is delighted to offer a Trevithick Scholarship in partnership with Cornwall Council.  

The scholarship will be awarded to a student from Cornwall, studying for an undergraduate degree in the School of Physics and Astronomy, and commencing their study in the academic year 2014/15.  

The successful applicant will receive an award of £2,000 a year for the duration of 3 years.

Scholarship Criteria

Applicants must:

  1. Have resided in Cornwall for at least 3 years prior to commencing study in the academic year 2014/15.
  2. Come from a lower income background, below the income threshold of £50,020.
  3. Agree to be an ambassador for Cornwall Council.  This will involve working with Cardiff University’s Schools Liaison Team and, where possible, attending Cornwall Council engagement events for young people.
